Ok, so things have been shaken up a little recently.

I have found myself being single again, after breaking off my most recent relationship about a month ago. It's too bad that things didn't work out, but I think it was probably for the best. I'm still happy and healthy, so what more can I really ask for?

Work is still going well, but I have the sinking feeling that the best boss I've ever had, Bruce Potter, is going to be leaving for greener pastures soon. That makes me sad. Apart from being my quasi-namesake, Bruce is a terrific boss, and a great guy to work with. He's uber-smart, and is the kind of geek that geeks like me look up to. He's the founder of a couple of different grassroots, geek-type communities: The Shmoo Group and NoVa Wireless. He has been quoted in various publications, including the Washington Post and Washington Times, has been interviewed on TV about wireless networking, and is currently writing a book for O'Reilly on wireless networking. Bruce hasn't really said where he will be going, but he did mention to me that he is applying for a NIST grant to study wireless network provisioning for small communities. All in all, Bruce is a pretty amazing guy, and I'll be sad to see him go.

Softball is in full swing, and I've been playing on my work team on Thursdays, and managing and playing on my church team on Fridays. The VeriSign team is doing pretty well, but the New Life team has only won one game thus far. According to folks who have played on the New Life team in the past, that isn't a huge surprise!

TTFN,
