Ok, so fast forward a couple of years... :-)

As I write this, Pam and I are smack-dab in the middle of a protracted relocation to North Carolina. We're moving to the Winston Salem/Greensboro/High Point area, which is commonly referred to as the Triad area (or Piedmont Triad area, depending on who's talking). At any rate, we are moving to good ole' NC. It may come as some surprise to you infrequent visitors to learn that we are not moving from Virginia, but rather from Vermont. Yes, you heard me right -- Vermont. As in Green Mountains, hippies, liberals, civil unions, and the whole lot.

You see, in my infinite procrastination, I neglected to update my website for two whole years. During that time, Pam and I moved to Montpelier, VT, where we spent about a year and half living amongst the Northern folk and learning that we really prefer the pleasing climate of the South. It wasn't just the weather though -- we found that Vermonters have their own way of doing things, and more often than not, it's completely different from our way of doing things. There are plenty of issues that influenced our decision to retreat towards the equator, but suffice it to say that we found that we like the longer summers, air conditioning, sweet iced tea, and property tax rates that aren't designed to bankrupt you.

So anyway, here are some highlights from the past couple of years:
-- Both Pam and Bryce worked at Norwich University for a while.
-- Pam has been working on her Masters Degree at Liberty University.
-- We bought a little 18' bowrider, and have become pretty serious weekend boaters.
-- Bryce spent way too much money on a couple of snowmobiles, which he is now trying to sell.

Our current deal looks like this:
-- Pam is working as an IT Business Analyst for United Guaranty in Greensboro.
-- Bryce is working as a Sr. Security Engineer for Wachovia in Winston Salem.
-- We really want to buy this house in Lexington, NC.
-- The dog (Logan) is doing well.

Incidentally, if you know anyone looking for a house in central Vermont -- ours is for sale!

Anyway, that's all for now. Sorry for the long hiatus! Thanks for stopping by!

So, ok yes, it's been more than half a year since my last update. I realize that folks will probably stop reading the site if I don't update it a little more often, but that's a chance I'm willing to take. I mean, it's not like my life is so exciting that you would need to check the site more than twice a year anyway, right? The way I see it, the folks who care the most already know most of this stuff anyway, so I'm really just publishing crap for the anonymous readers who stumble onto my page by accident. I can live with that.

Anyway, here's the latest news:

  • In June, my parents moved to Northfield, Vermont, where my dad got a job at Norwich University. Don't ask me what he does, because it has a lot of acronyms, and I really don't understand it.

  • On July 30th, my brother Blake got married to his girlfriend (now wife) Heather and moved to San Diego.

  • During the summer, Pam and I have made some changes to our stable of toys. So far this year, we've sold my bike and the Corvette, and we've purchased another jet ski, this time a '98 GTX Limited. The next toy on my list is a Kawasaki Prairie 700, but we probably won't get into that for a while, depending on some other developments.

Ok, that's about it for now. If I think of anything else, I'll throw another update out (yeah right!)

    Peace,
